Hiring Technology
The increase of business has driven companies to search for more cost, time and resource efficient methods of production. This need has driven inventors to deliver just that; simple tools / software that can do more than one human can do. A very important invention that revolutionized the world was the Jacquard loom.
The Jacquard Loom easily created tapestries using a wooden punch card with holes that created the intricate designs. This creation put many mill owners out of work, but it had so many other helpful applications that he could be easily forgiven.
Throughout history the technological takeover of the workforce has been very damaging to local economy. With that said technology has created more jobs than it has taken away. But thankfully with technology still needing us to build and monitor it we still get to work for a living.
