Traditional Commercials vs. Branded Entertainment
You are watching your favorite t.v show on cable and it goes to a commercial break. How many people actually still watch the commercials? I know that I usually go get something to eat in the kitchen, talk on the phone, or turn to something else. However, I know that commercial breaks are usually for about four minutes, so that is when I will switch back to my fav show. Companies of different brands are realizing that traditional commercials are not working. Michael Grebb informs us that,
"The trend in the last five years is to integrate
brands into t.v and movies in a more organic
way."
This is a smart idea because now brands are promoting their products with in a t.v show through the characters. Thus, the comsumer is forced to view the product and see all of its' features.
