LONELY???...right!!

The lonely girl who really "wasn't" has turned out to be in very much company. There were screenwriters, directors, and even filmmakers with her!!! See, it turns out that "lonely girl" by the name of Jessica Rose, age 20, and a resident of New Zealand is in all actuality an actress. As stated in the article itself, "the whole project appears to be the early serialized version of what eventually will become a movie".
To be completely honest, when I chose this article, I thought it was going to be a whole lot juicier. Unfortunately to my dismay it was very very disappointing. She is just an actress making up video diaries of her "fake" life. According to the internet, Bree (Jessica's web persona), is a home schooled girl with very religious parents who studies the arts and lives on an more educated level. And according to Jessica, (the real girl), she lives a life of parties and fun. Bree connects to the more intellectual community, attracting dweebs, nerds, and geeks of all kinds. That site caught the interest of "novelists, journalists, academics, day traders, lawyers, bloggers, filmmakers, video game designers, students, housewives, bored youngsters and experts on religion and botany." She offered a fantasy that most men like "Bree" would never have: "A beautiful girl who techy guys had something in common with".

One faithful viewer says, " Very cute, but she's really not into Fenymann and Jared Diamond! (I'm heart-broken... But a wonderful actress, had me fooled into thinking she was a geek like me.)"

The lonely girl who really wasn't ended up being very good company for people just like her.

Comments:
A good post. You worked from the article and expressed your own opinion.

Aside from whether it is "juicy" or entertaining, what does this fake video mean? Is this just role-playing for lonely people? Has there been a betrayal of trust here? Why did this story make the news? What is the news here? The popularity of the videos? Or the fact they were faked?
