"Thai Censors Lift YouTube Ban," 2007
Every country has rules and regulations that they have to follow an abide by. In this case Thailand has blocked the youtube website because they claim that the site had carried material that was very insulting to the country's highly venerated king. So they made an agreement wit the site's management to block any future clips that may seem offensive to the thai culture in any sort of way. Even certaon books are banned in Thailand. That is very strict country when it comes to things like that. They have a law that states a jail sentence of 15 years for anyone who insults or threatens the king, queen, heir apparent or regent.
This article interested me because i feel like if their is something on an internet site that a person dislikes just dont look at it. Everyone has thoughts and opinions on everything, and you really can't stop anyone from expressing that. I thinks that their rules are very strict and absurd. I dont agree with the rediculous jail sentence that someone has to face because of something him/her wrote. I understand its insulting, but youtube is a website that millions of people use, so you cant penalize everyone for writing something or posting a video that someone else dislikes or finds disrespectful.
