wow... the world really is flat!
The first four chapters of the book speak of such interesting views of the world we live in. the notion of the ten flatteners is one thats never even been imagined. its true though; when the internet became this all access place, people didn't realize that the world was flattening. with people now able to work from there computers it makes almost unimanigable to think that were not facing something new and big here. competition is uprising in the online world and big business is becoming bigger business. but i dont understand why doesn't everyone see this. i guess thats what Friedman means when he sais that he was sleeping. im not fully awake but my eyes are starting to open up to this new reality. As I was reading, I found myself more intrigued. to jump a little further one then observed chapters 9 and 10. i just want to say whoa! there is definitely a revolution brewing right now, and it will not be televised. but it might be webcasted. its crazy how major corperations are already involved in flattening the world too. IBM and UPS play such a major role in flattening the world. i think its more a question of how do we educate tomorrows society. thats right... we have to go harder at shaping the young minds on what is to come. i enjoyed reading the section on parenting. i compared the reading to that of how i was really raised. i was raised just fine, but i now know that im going to have to work harder at parenting than my own parents did. in chapter ten in mentions that even if your on the right track, you can still get run over. even though he was referring to mexico, he's speaking to everyone out there. personally, i feel that i have to educate myself more on this; mainly because when the revolution hits... its going to hit hard.
