Poetry of the Modern World
Poetry of the modern world is what New York was referred to as during the time of its uprising. One reason for this was because of its structure. Only in New York, people were able to see these tall buildings and statues that represented the future. People from all five boroughs had the chance to visit manhantan and go back home. it was an attraction for all to see what was then known as a glimpse of the future. Also, it was one of the most crowded cities in the world. Only people who knew other people were able to survive. In other words, you had to know how to socialize and do business in order to get what you wanted. It was a fast paced city with all types of social networks going on at the same time. The reason for this is because when compared; The internet is somewhat todays poetry of the modern world. the internet is a place were we get a glimpse of the future everyday. and like new york, its a fast paced community with several social networks in it. why was this blog written? I dont know its just something I was thinking about. any feedback?

If people start to live in virtual social networks will that replace the face to face social networks of urban spaces? Will cities wither as online links allow us to live almost anywhere? Some people have predicted the death of the urban center because of the rise of cheap telecommunication, but that seems not to be coming true, some cities are becoming digital hubs of innovation and social networking others are being left behind.
