WWJD with an Xbox?
As video games are getting more "gorey" and definately more violent, religious believers think it is time for a new type of game for the videogaming world. Christian game developers are working hard at marketing video games about the bible and other religious aspects.
Although i do agree with the mainstream gamers , in that violent games are sometimes fun. I also think that they are not appropriate for all ages. In addition i feel that if a videogame can be made about killing people and stealing their cars for no reason then why can't there be some about jesus and the bible. Its a very positive outlook on the gaming society. Moreover, it proves that the video games can be very well rounded.
These games are no competition for the genre of games that already exist they just add a good amount of balance and more room for variety. Christian videogames are not going to sky rocket in the market anytime soon. However, i do think they will make it eventually. The way i see it is there is alot of religious people, plenty of christians and therefore the interest exists.
I say GOOD FOR THEM. Good luck to the Christian Gaming Developers!
“Some of the games that are out in the mainstream market right now introduce
a lot violence, blood, guts and gore,” Bean said. “We found there is a need for
an alternative, for families to be able to find fun and entertaining games that
reinforce positive images.”

“I think for Christian video games to really carve out a piece of the market, the games will have to look like they are truly competitive in terms of quality with the mainstream secular games,” explained gaming expert Adam Sessler, who hosts X-Play on G4 TV.

“Our game is called the Bible Games and it’s coming out on the Game Box advance, Playstation 2 and Xbox,” Bucklin said. “It’s Bible trivia. The Playstation and Xbox game is a game show. So it’s really just understanding Bible trivia and see what you know and hopefully learning a little too.”
