Independence of Cyberspace
This article about the Declaration of the Independence of Cyberspace was one that grabbed my full attention. Creating your own world of whatever you'd like without interruptions is found so easily in cyberspace. There are no regulations that can be broken and it gives any person the freedom to browse around they're "world" care-free.
"We are creating a world that all may enter
without privilege or prejudice
accorded by race, economic power, military
force, or station of birth.....We will create a civilization of the Mind in
Cyberspace. May it be more humane and fair than the world your governments have
made before."It makes everyone want to jump on the opportunity of joining cyberspace!

Is this true? Are there no regulations? Can one browse around the net without fear? What does it mean to create a virtual world anyway? Do you believe that there are really no distinctions of class and race online?
