Facebook Losing Some of its Original Members?

Facebook has now become very similar to twitter, with people writing status updates basically every minute about what is going on in their life. To some it's not a problem, and its not also has not affected the web site's growth, as they have expanded to heights never reached before in terms of traffic on the Internet. However, in a recent article written by journalist Brad Stone, some members of the site who fell in love with the website when it first launched, rarely use the site now. The reason for this these members say is because the site has now changed to a point where they cannot keep up with, or don't care to keep up with. Mr. Stone went on to write in the article about one members strained relationship with the website, writing, "Ms. Rabban, 40, a real estate agent and the mother of two from Livingston, N.J., joined the site in November 2007, quickly amassing 250 friends and spending hours on the site each day.
But these days, she spends less time on the site and posts caustic comments about Facebook’s new design, which turns a majority of every user’s home page into a long “stream” of recent, often trivial, Twitter-like updates from friends.".

As a member of Facebook when the site first started five years ago, I can say I barely use it because it is too much to keep up with, but I do like the every minute status updates because the friends I have leave some funny updates. I don't know, to each is own I guess.
