Hillary vs. the Xbox: Game over
There are many children around the world that have access to so many different video games whether they are compatable with the childs age or whether there rated for adults only (18 or older).
I think that there are many children around the world that re-enact the stunts that are part of the game whether it be hijack a car like in Grand Theft Auto, or have a shooting fight in a fighting game, etc.
In this quote it states that parents have to drag their kids away from the games, well the reason for that is because there are many children that sit in front of the tv for hours playing these video games and course they wont be interested in doing homework. Kids cant concentrate in school because all they think about is going home to play "Grand Theft Auto" or Madden 2005", etc. I personally think that there are more things to do other then playing video games all the time.
I think that video games should be better rated then they are and that it should be harder for a child to buy video games. If the game is rated 18 or older then stores need to make sure there only selling to children 18 or older.
Another good point that was brought up in the article is:
I agree with that because so many children are becoming less interested in being athletic and more interested in playing video games.

Kids have always played games. A hundred years ago they were playing stickball and kick the can; now they're playing "World of Warcraft," "Halo 2" and "Madden 2005." And parents have to drag their kids away from the games to get them to do their algebra homework, but parents have been dragging kids away from whatever the kids were into since the dawn of civilization.

Of course, I admit that there's one charge against video games that is a slam dunk. Kids don't get physical exercise when they play a video game, and indeed the rise in obesity among younger people is a serious issue. But, of course, you don't get exercise from doing homework either.
I agree with that because so many children are becoming less interested in being athletic and more interested in playing video games.

We live an increasingly sedentary lifestyle, sitting in front of screens and keyboards all day, at work and at play. Video game playing children are being prepared for a lifetime chained to the computer. Will they be fat and happy? Or creepy and violent? Video games alone will not be responsible but it's a good start.
