Internet Stokes Anti- War Movement
This is an interesting article on how the internet plays a huge role in our lives today. The article goes on to talk about how the internet contributed to a protest on an anti- war movement. It took place in San Francisco and Washington D.C and had about 100,000 people at each city to protest the war. People found out about this through e-mails and websites not through the media. "The Next Social revolution, also believes that the internet played a defining role in bringing the movement together"(Kahney). This shows how the internet plays such a role in our lives and how we use technology each and everyday to find out information going on in the world. "It made a major difference in getting our message out there, especially because the mainstream media isn't covering the anti- war movement"(Kahney). Without the use of the internet their would be no e-mails and no websites. The internet helps people to search around and to type in a keyword and lots of files will pop up and help you to search for what you need. If people didn't have the internet it would be very hard to get information and it would be especially hard to get invoved in things because people wouldn;t know what's going on. "Without that resource, its hard to find out how to get involved" (Kahney). The internet is a great source and without it today I think we would all feel lost.

You are correct. The internet is a useful tool for organizing a political movement and getting people involved. Digital networks are now the nervous system of the anti-war movement.
