Celebrity Blogger

When trying to decide what article to blog on, i couldnt help but be curious in the one titles "Reader, I dated him." Theres something about love and heartbreak that catches my eyes. Maybe its the lover in me, maybe its just the woman in me. Never the less, i read the article and the my first after thought was : "And why did the writer name this article 'Reader, I dated him'." I don't know if it was just me, but that left me a bit lost.

Stephanie Rosenbloom, of the NY Times, writes about a "celebrity blogger," Stephanie Tara Klein, also characterized as the Carrie Bradshaw ( of the well known HBO series "Sex & the City") of blogging.

According to Technorati, which ranks blogs based on "net attention," or the
number of people who are linking to them, Ms. Klein's blog has a rank of 2,132,
meaning that of the world's more than 13 million blogs, there are only 2,000 or
so with more inbound links than hers.

I found it quite intriguing how one blogger could keep the attention of so many readers by just accounting the times in her every day life. So, i decided to take a look for myself. Reading Ms. Klien's blogs myself it was easy to udnerstand why she has so many followers. I was most impressed that off of blogging her life, Klein has published a memoir about her life. And she definately gained another fan.

Klein's entrys are so easy to read and easy to relate to, you can not help but get hooked. I would recommend her blog site to any woman, especially the single NYC woman.

Comments:
The article is discussing a new form of celebrity based on a new media: blogging. Personal revelations are key to attaining fame in the blogosphere.

Blogging is medium of opinion and personal exposure. Intimate diaries appeal to the online voyeur. Online romances shared will attract attention if they are well written and racy.

Is this a new form of soft core eroticism? Is it a new form of interactive soap opera? Is this where the next Oprah will emerge?

I don't know if i would go as far to saying this is where the next "Oprah" will come out of, but it is definately a new form of soap opera.
It is quite amazing how the readers find a perfect strangers everday life as entertainment. In addition, It kind of made me realize how nosey society really could be.
However, who am i to judge? I too find following Kleins blogs as a great form of pastime.

We do live in a world of voyeurs. Snooping is a great American pastime. Another opportunity to peek behind closed doors.
